What to expect on a Work Excursion:
- Heavy physical labor (e.g. mixing and pouring cement by hand, constructing floors, roofs, sidewalks, homes)
- Construction (e.g. building shelves, welding playground equipment, installing solar panels for water pumps, shoveling gravel)
- Light construction (e.g. painting homes, repairing playground equipment)
- Organization and distribution of supplies (food, clothing, soap, household goods, specialized needs)
- Organization of children activities (e.g. drawing for soccer balls, candy distribution)
- Assessment of need and building friendships (Typically our work trips accommodate 6 people.)
